Teach Maidenhead is a leading teacher-training partnership based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. As the University of Reading’s local Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Hub, we are committed to developing passionate and talented individuals into confident, highly effective teachers.

High-Quality Teacher Training
We work in partnership with the University of Reading—an established and highly regarded provider of teacher education and research, ranked ninth in the UK for Education in The Guardian University Guide 2024.
Successful trainees achieve:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- 60 credits towards a master’s degree
Our training combines expert-led academic study with extensive experience in local schools. From the beginning of the course, trainees gain practical classroom experience while receiving personalised guidance from experienced teachers, mentors and university tutors.

Entry Requirements
Applicants will typically need:
- A UK degree or recognised equivalent
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above
- GCSE Science at grade 4/C or above for primary teaching
- A genuine enthusiasm for education and a commitment to supporting young people
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview, providing an opportunity to demonstrate their experience, potential and passion for teaching.
