Examination
Post-Results Services
We hope that all students achieve the results they have worked hard for. However, if you have concerns about your results or would like to explore the options available to you, a range of Post-Results Services is available.
Students and parents/carers are encouraged to read the guidance carefully and seek advice from the relevant subject teacher, Subject Leader or the Exams Team before submitting a request.
Information about the available services, fees and school deadlines can be found in our Post-Results Services guidance. Payment arrangements will be communicated to parents/carers on an individual basis.
Review of Marking
Students may request a Review of Marking at their own expense by completing the appropriate Post-Results Services request form.
Before making a request, students and parents/carers should be aware that a review can result in a mark or grade being:
- Increased
- Remaining unchanged
- Lowered
We strongly recommend speaking to the relevant subject teacher, Subject Leader or the Exams Team before submitting a request.
Access to Exam Scripts
Students may request access to their examination scripts to help them understand their performance or to support a possible review of marking.
Students must provide their consent by completing the relevant Post-Results Services form.
Teachers may also request permission to use copies of examination scripts for teaching and learning purposes. Written consent from the student is required, and any associated costs will be met by the relevant department.
Examination Certificates
Examination certificates are important official documents and should be kept securely. They may be required when applying for further education, university, apprenticeships or employment, and provide formal confirmation of your examination results.
The school does not keep replacement copies of certificates. If a certificate is lost or not collected, students may need to contact the relevant examination board directly and pay for a Certified Statement of Results.
Certificates are normally available for collection from January following the summer examination series. For example, certificates for Summer 2026 examinations will be available from January 2027.
Collecting Your Certificates
Students can collect their certificates in person from the school.
Alternatively, another person can be nominated to collect them on the student's behalf, such as a parent/carer or a sibling who is currently in Years 11, 12 or 13.
The student must complete and sign the Certificate Collection Form. The nominated person must bring the completed form to Student Reception together with suitable photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence. They will also be required to sign to confirm receipt of the certificates.
Postal Delivery
Certificates can also be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery, providing appropriate insurance in the event of loss or damage.
Postal delivery can be requested using the Certificate Collection Form. A fixed fee of £7.50 applies and must be paid before the certificates are posted.
Uncollected Certificates
Uncollected certificates will be retained by the school for at least one year. After this period, the school reserves the right to securely destroy them.
If you believe you have certificates that are more than one year old and have not yet collected them, please contact the Exams Team at
Important JCQ Information
Students taking public examinations and completing assessed coursework must understand the regulations set by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).
These regulations include important guidance around the preparation and submission of work, plagiarism, controlled assessments and the consequences of breaching examination rules.
Students are expected to read the relevant JCQ information as part of their preparation for examinations and coursework.
The latest Information for Candidates documents are available on the JCQ website.
Understand your options. Seek advice. Make an informed decision.
